Indo-Korean Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition

On Tuesday, February 21st the combined Ceramics II and IB Art class had the opportunity to visit the Indo-Korean Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition at Lalit Kala Akademi. The show consisted of works by 6 Korean and 6 Indian ceramic artists who worked together in a residency program at Kalekshetra last month. The work was very diverse and provided the students with the opportunity to compare the aesthetics and process of contemporary artists from two different cultures. Students spent the afternoon critiquing, sketching and discussing the works on display. The trip concluded with a tour of the Ceramics and Sculpture studio at Lalit Kala Akademi. .....more photos
