EarthMatters: An Indo-Korean


InKo Centre in association with Arts Council Korea, Kalakshetra Foundation and Lalit Kala Akademi, is delighted to present a unique Indo-Korean Ceramic residency project that will bring together 12 ceramic artists - 6 each from India and Korea - in a 4 week residency in Chennai. (12 January to 12 February 2012)


It will be followed by an Indo-Korean Ceramic Exhibition at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai from 14-23 February 2012.

IWB Assignment:
Due: Jan 25

1)   Create an observational drawing of an interesting still life or cropped area in your house. (Medium: Pen, graphite,….) Draw it from multiple vantage points. Annotate all drawings.

2)   Research an artist whose style you will emulate in your next piece. Using the elements and principles, annotate what makes it visually appealing to you (use of texture, complimentary/ contrasting color scheme, rhythm created through repetition of elements,….)

3)  Proposal Development: Show 10 different variations/ possibilities for your next proposal. Strip out non-essentials and simplify your idea.  5 variations must be non-objective and 5 – representational.
