The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living
In 1991 Damien Hirst, a British artist, was commissioned by Charles Saatchi to create a work of art of whatever Hirst chose to make. The finished product was a 13 foot tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde and displayed in a rectrangular pism tank. The piece was later sold by Saatchi for an undiclosed amout, but it is rumored that the amout was in the ball park of 8-12 million USD.
